Finding out about the history of any city is so interesting and seeing pictures of what a city once looked like is even more intriguing. Bruce Russell has put together a beautiful virtual tour of The Pictorial History of Northridge.
All across America people have joined together to turn ugly cities into beautiful communities. You may not imagine that you can do it--but you can! If there is already a Neighborhood Council or Neighborhood Watch program in your area, ask them how they got started. Perhaps you can turn a vacant lot into a Community Garden.
